INDOOR
Wind Ensemble
The AHS Wind Ensemble is the top-performing concert ensemble in the Alpharetta program and is open to students in all four grade levels. In order to be a member of this group, a student must demonstrate the highest level of musical maturity, technical proficiency, and commitment to rehearsal and individual practice. A student must seriously pursue individual goals on their instrument as well as work diligently toward ensemble goals. Private lessons are strongly encouraged.
Symphonic Band I
Symphonic Band I is the second performing concert ensemble and is comprised of students in all four grade levels. In order to be a member of this group, a student must demonstrate the highest level of musical maturity, technical proficiency, and commitment to rehearsal and individual practice. Private lessons are strongly encouraged.
Symphonic Band II
Symphonic Band II is the third performing concert ensemble and is comprised of students in all four grade levels. In order to be a member of this group, a student must demonstrate the highest level of musical maturity, technical proficiency, and commitment to rehearsal and practice time. Private lessons are strongly encouraged.

OUTDOOR
Marching Band
The Alpharetta High School Raider Marching Band is open to students in all four grades. As the most public ensemble in the program, the AHS Raider Band has grown to become one of the most competitively competitive organizations on campus and routinely travels to compete all over the United States.
Fall Color Guard
The Color Guard works toward competitive festivals with the Marching Band in the fall and becomes its own performing unit during the spring semester. Auditions are in the spring semester and are open to any AHS student or current 8th grader at an AHS Cluster Middle School. The Varsity and Junior Varsity Winter Guards are extra-curricular ensembles that meet during the spring semester. These groups work toward competitive festivals and are an important part of the entire program. Auditions are in the fall semester and are open to any AHS students, as well as incoming 8th grade students.
