We are about to start our master class series. This is a way for our students to get instrument-specific information from professionals who teach and/or perform on their primary instrument. We have had lots of success with growth in our students through these master classes. For eight weeks starting the week of November 16, each instrument will have one day when our master class instructor will go into our class meeting and work with our students in a small group. Some of our students are on campus for class and others are virtual. Our master class teachers will be virtual and will work with both virtual and face-to-face students.
We are excited to have the following musicians working with our students this year: Flute Elizabeth Saller elizabethsaller.com University of Florida, BM 2007 James Madison University, MM 2009 Oboe Nora Palmieri Hartt School of Music, BM applied music oboe, 1981 Bassoon John Grove BMus and BMusEd from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada Clarinet Alex Krakovski Saxophone Dr. Joe Girard www.sintaquartet.com University of Michigan, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance, 2010 University of Michigan, Master of Music in Saxophone Performance, 2012 Michigan State University, Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance, 2015 Currently the Saxophone Professor at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University Trumpet David Klausman Furman University, BA in Trumpet Performance 1984 Professional performer and teacher in the Metro Atlanta area since 1984 French Horn Amy Black Trombone Marc Boehm www.thetromboneacademy.com The Juilliard School, B.M.
