Annie has a senior daughter, Imogen, in Color Guard. Her other daughters are Jojo, a junior at Kennesaw who is continuing with guard there, and a senior, Niamh, at UGA. Both Niamh and Jojo were involved in the band for their entire four years in high school. Marching band is a unique experience showing our children that community is important and that the sum of who they are is more important than any one individual. They make their mark showing what they can do, not what they can’t do. This is Annie’s 8th year volunteering for the band any way she can. Her husband, Andy, also volunteers at Ameris Bank Amphitheater, Friday night football games and in building the props for both marching band and winter guard. In 8 years Annie has never missed a Friday night, but still can’t work out what is happening on the field, unless the band is playing! |
