Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (previously known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre) This is our single biggest fundraiser contributing over $35K per year to support all elements of our program (an average of over $175 per adult volunteer per show which is amazing!). We manage two beverage stands that, depending on the show, require 8 - 14 adult volunteers and 2 - 4 student volunteers. No formal training is required beforehand and both of our stands are outdoors so you get to hear all the music. We must supply 2 managers per stand - a cash manager and inventory manager (and learning to do these jobs is easy!). The best part is anyone can volunteer - relatives or neighbors that want to help support our program are welcome also and the people watching is often spectacular! Come join us in 2019 - there are some great shows already on the schedule including Santana, Jimmy Buffet, Dave Matthews, Train and Lynyrd Skynyrd. A little bit of work is not only a lot of fun but goes a long way toward supporting our fantastic band and color guard program. Click here to see the shows scheduled for the 2019 season.
Home Game Parking This is a short, easy fundraiser that earns us all the money from parking sales. It only takes a few hours on the Friday nights of Home Games. You'll be in your seat in the stadium before the end of the first quarter!
Friday Night Meals A fun and easy way to help! Come help Set-Up/Serve/Clean-Up for the "Friday Night Meals" served to the kids before the football games. We are all done well before kick-off so you can enjoy the game!
Game Day & Competition Chaperones/Roadies Marching Band Season Volunteers for Competitions and Game Nights. Experience marching band from the field level. Help keep the kids safe, supplied, and happy at football games and competitions. It’s so much fun!
Uniform Volunteers On Friday nights (and some Saturdays for competitions) our marching Raiders need help getting into, and out of, their uniforms. Volunteering to help with uniforms is a great way to get to know 145 of your kid's friends. Time commitment is just an hour or so before a game, or 30 minutes after a game. This is an easy way to get involved, meet the band members, and help our kids look their best.
Fall 2019 Car Wash Stayed tuned - the fall car wash is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2019. The sign-up genius link will be added soon. This is an all hands on deck event and we will need help from several parents and all students to make this a big success. Roles are VERY EASY and Car Wash Co-Chairs will provide guidance in advance and on site.
Taste of Alpharetta Taste of Alpharetta 2019 was a huge hit this year - during this event we man 8 separate beverage stations, in conjunction with the Milton High School Band program, selling non-alcoholic soda and water to attendees. This fundraiser generates between $3,000 - $5,000 per year. There are opportunities to volunteer early in the day for set-up, end of night for cleanup or during the event itself. It’s easy and fun and before or after your shift you can enjoy all the food and entertainment that make this one of the most exciting nights of the year in downtown Alpharetta! Stay tuned for more information about the 2020 event! Corporate Sponsorship Committee Corporate Sponsorship Committee connects with local businesses to support the band program. We have great sponsor benefits and ways to promote businesses to the band community. There will be an orientation/training meeting and some follow up meetings to report progress, but most of this work can be accomplished on your own schedule. Help us help the kids!
