Symphony Performance

Our AHS Symphony Orchestra has been selected and will be performing at the 2016 Georgia Music Educator's Association State Convention this month in Athens, GA.  This is a high honor, by audition only.

THE PREVIEW CONCERT -  - We will be performing a "test run" of the entire program on Tuesday January 26th at 7pm in the AHS Theater.  The music is quite exciting!  Please make plans to attend this concert to show support for our hard-working band members doing "double-duty" performing with Band and Symphony Orchestra.  And if you cannot make it to Athens, this is your only shot at experiencing this literature.

The performance will be on Saturday morning January 30th at 8:45am in the Athens Classic Center.  It is open to the public;  we encourage parents to make the short (60-mile) drive over for this performance.  The saturday schedule for all Wind Ensemble personnel traveling will be published soon.  We will be traveling by motorcoach.  Printed communication has already been published and distributed (another schedule went out today to all ensemble members).
