Wind Ensemble Thursdays have started!

Thursday after-school rehearsals for Wind Ensemble have started, 4-6pm.  These required rehearsals are part of the contract and are critical to our success second semester.  Please watch the website calendar for any date and time changes.  Upcoming rehearsals are 11/16, 11/30, 12/7.  We are working hard to be at our best for the upcoming University of Georgia performance in January.  We're super-excited about the potential of this year's group!

White Columns Update

Our Marching Raiders performed at their final competition of the 2017 season at the White Columns Invitational at Milton High School.  ALL CAPTIONS (music, colorguard, percussion, drum majors) earned Superior ratings.  Our Marching Raiders finished third place in  class 4-A, our Colorguard finished 2nd overall, and our overall ranking with all classes combined was 4th place.  In addition, our Brass section earned "best in show!"

We are so very proud of our Band members!  There will be an encore performance this Friday night at AHS for the first-round of the regional 6-A football playoffs.

GO RAIDERS!

Florida Competition Update

Our Alpharetta HS Marching Raiders had a strong performance at the Emerald Coast Classic Marching Band Competition at Ft. Walton Beach Saturday evening.  All captions (music, guard, percussion, drum majors, visual, and general affect) earned Superior Ratings, the Drum Majors and Colorguard earned "best in show" ratings (through all classifications), our Marching Raiders ranked first in class 4A, and we finished in 4th place overall (across all classifications)!  Of course we have plenty of room for improvement, but we are very proud of our Marching Raiders!

Our next competition will be Saturday November 4 at the White Columns Invitational hosted by Milton High School.  Stay tuned for details!
